The fifth in the series of sin’s which when unleashed the wrath is far reaching and destructive, Anger
It comes so suddenly, that the damage is done before you even realize it. The unleashing of rage from a person requires just about any unacceptable prodding to trigger it. It is a natural emotion one expresses when a situation turns unfavorable and not to his liking or understanding (usually a misrepresentation) but the build up is so rapid that it takes all your negative thoughts in one grip and releases them out through harsh words, physical assault, aggressive behavior and destructive tendencies.
It is said that you need to count to 10 before you react to a disagreeable situation, but, how often do you find a person who is instigated, pausing to count to 10 and then reacting? It’s physically impossible to have such self restraint. The only way one can overcome anger is to shield oneself from being affected by offense, provocation, wrong or denial. Usually these pressure inducing situations are directed from others, it’s something one controls you with and wields it as a weapon when the trigger points are easily identifiable. The easiest thing to do is to feign ignorance and not allow the situation to escalate. Yes it’s not advisable to hold it in also, you would rather just let go the steam, but if you can choose to be unaffected, you can master this emotion.
The next sinful variety identifies itself with the color of wrath very easily; it is the Red Delicious Apple. One of the commonest variety of the fruit and made easily available everywhere. Stay away from the shiny red ones as these commercially available ones are usually polished with a wax to protect the skin from deteriorating. The texture is a bit powdery and has a little less juice to it, but makes it a perfect (cooking)grilling apple due to its low moisture and easy absorbent quality.
This main course dish utilizes the qualities of the red delicious variety to its maximum. The char grilling takes place after marinating the apple slices in a spiced butter lemony sauce and then throwing the slices over an open fire or barbecue grill thereby allowing the apples to absorb the marinating sauce. This goes well tossed with Fusilli in a lightly flavored curried cream sauce. Try this out the next time you bored of the usual pasta dishes, this is sure to be the highlight of your dinner table.
