Before hearing Diego out, I walked through the sensory trail — perfume, chocolate, leather — a crash course in what really shapes bourbon’s character.
From the corn that gives it warmth, wheat that softens it, and rye which adds spice and complexity — each expression tells its own story.
For me, somewhere between the sweet and the spice, the Sazerac Rye stood out — rye-forward, distinctly its own, something I swear by whilst making my favorite cocktail – its namesake.
