The new Sunday express “Bring to heal”

I pull out a memory card from quarter of a century ago and remember my first love affair with alcohol.

The new Sunday express “Bring to heal”

The city’s nightlife is on a real high right now, and the latest to join the buzz is @sama_blr, a swanky new spot in Ulsoor by none other than @pratheek_k.r and head chef @vichitaa. Designed by @joinddots of @studiograin_bangalore

They’ve teamed up with @catbiteclub (from Asia’s 50 Best Bars) – @jessejvida @lsnos @a_new_lowe for an experimental yet refreshingly distinct cocktail program that raises the bar — quite literally — for what new-age drinking spots are doing with concept and craft, whilst @sami.tout.court doled out some great classics too.

Give it a read when you can — it might just leave you thirsty (and a little hungry) for a trip down south.

Thanks for the platform for reliving my bar excursions @malavikab @sa1i1

Looking back I felt there is an advantage in spirit forward cocktails. The fact that they are potent allows you to savor, sip and enjoy them, rather than slam dunking / guzzling them. There is a certain level of tongue-fatigue which also happens when consuming classic cocktails (unless you are jumping from one to another — then its pretty much reviving your palate for a buffet of cocktails which can get excessive); so as a general rule I tend to stick to one or at the most two variations of the same cocktail per evening. As I age I realize that there is an art to drinking and it can be quite pleasurable and self-controllable if you choose the right way to do it.
